Led by partners Mike and Mark Skerbe, Triple SSS Sports Cards maintains an extensive inventory of vintage and contemporary sports cards across the major sports. Triple SSS Sports Cards deals in cards graded by reputable companies such as Sportscard Guaranty Corporation (SGC) and Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA).

As reported by the Sports Collectors Daily, PSA has spent much of 2021 working through a “record-breaking backlog.” Reflecting a rapid rise in the popularity of the hobby, PSA experienced a backlog of millions of cards to be graded. In the first quarter of 2021 alone, it received more than three million submissions.

This backlog led PSA to suspend lower-cost submissions in the value and bulk tiers, which can take upward of a year to make their way through the grading process and back to collectors. Having graded 669,000 cards in August alone, the company is quickly catching up and has benefited from new scanning technologies and additional staff. At current rates, 8.6 million cards will have been graded throughout 2021.

Of those cards that were graded in August, basketball stars such as Zion Williamson, Ja Morant, Michael Jordan, Luka Doncic, and Kobe Bryant made up the highest number. In the top place, LeBron James alone had 17,600 cards graded in that single month. In other sports, emerging star quarterback Justin Herbert as well as rising baseball phenoms Luis Robert and Fernando Tatis also cracked the top ten. Naturally, the figures are skewed toward who was hot several months ago, before the lower service tiers were suspended.
